May 19, 2018 was a day that all royal-watchers and journalists woke up in the wee hours of the morning to see an American marry Britain's beloved prince. To celebrate, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released a video featuring photos that they have never shared before now.
The message on the official Sussex Instagram account was one of joy and celebration:
"Happy one year anniversary to Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
Today marks the one year anniversary of the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Their Royal Highnesses exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel within the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19th, 2018. The selected song “This Little Light of Mine” was chosen by the couple for their recessional. We hope you enjoy reliving this moment, and seeing some behind the scenes photos from this special day. A message from The Duke & Duchess: Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful."
The slideshow of the photos is set to the sound of The Kingdom Choir singing "Amen," which is the song they sang as the couple exited St. George's Chapel as a married couple. They also sang "This Little Light of Mine."
Meghan and Harry have had a big first year of marriage. Two weeks ago Monday, they welcomed baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor into their lives; Archie was born at Portland Hospital, where Sarah, Duchess of York gave birth to Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.
The little family of three now live in Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, not far from where Meghan and Harry took their wedding vows.
