Selena Gomez brought her fashion A-game to the Cannes Film Festival, and her great outfits continued this morning. The actress dressed sharply for her third event ever at the festival, the morning photocall for The Dead Don't Die. This is a more casual occasion than last night's red carpet premiere and after party for the film, but Gomez had fun dressing for it in a navy crop top and matching pants:
It comes after she wore Louis Vuitton last night for both the premiere of The Dead Don't Die and after party:
Gomez arrived in Nice on Monday, wearing a white jumpsuit with a cozy long cream cardigan. These have been her first big film event this year. Gomez was not at any award season shows. Ahead of Cannes, she had only done three events this year total: Coachella, We Day California, and the Hollywood Reporter's Empowerment event. She skipped New York City's Met Gala last week and spent the night in Disneyland with friends instead.
Gomez has big plans beyond just releasing her zombie comedy film The Dead Don't Die in the coming months. The actress said during her first extended interview of 2019, on Coach's Dream It Real podcast, that her next album will also come out in 2019. It's going to be a very personal record, Gomez made clear, and there won't be any collaborations on it.
"Working on this new record, I just wanted it to be me, all me," she explained. "Every song is a story I’ve experienced. To that point, I think there’s no one who’s going to tell my story better than myself. I just really wanted to kind of just live with my story a bit and create it into something that means a lot to me."
